Do you want to be rich or poor? Strange question right? Well not really, if there were no negative connotations associated with being rich, everyone would want to be wealthy. Why? Because having money makes life easier and provides freedom while being poor makes life harder and causes dependence. So own your decision to be rich and let’s get to work.

Here is a framework I developed to set you up for success –

Those who know me understand that I am not vain or materialistic. But I do know the value of money, and because my ultimate goal is to educate and help others achieve financial success, having money will allow me to help more people, faster.

Here’s my journey in short –

I have been teaching Spanish for 16 years now and yes I am burned out. I don’t hate it;  just kind of bored with it. I also coach a few seasons and work summers teaching surfing at Camp Anchor. I mentor teachers, take classes to max out my payscale, run a morning fitness and meditation club, tutor, play in a band, and own a small business (woodshop). In other words busting my A$$ to earn more money.

Although I love all of these jobs, that’s just what they are; jobs. At this rate, I will be dead or poor by the time I retire; a harsh reality.

Robert Kiyosaki said it best “ The poor and middle-class work for money but the rich have money work for them”… When that one idea sunk in, I mean really sunk in; my life changed.

BUT how do you make money work for you?

Acquire enough assets to support your lifestyle and you are financially free! Simple right? In theory. But you need to have a plan – My plan is to own real estate. In particular multifamily apartment buildings.

Although there are a ton of different real estate asset classes and strategies, I firmly believe multifamily apartments are the best asset class. And I have studied all of them and tried a few.

So what the heck is multifamily? Apartment buildings with 5 units or more.

And yes, YOU CAN and SHOULD own multifamily real estate!

Here are some of the benefits of multifamily –

Before you go diving headfirst into multifamily real estate investing, you need to get educated. Begin your journey today by seeking education through podcasts, books, blogs, social media, and networking. Start the conversation TODAY in order to set yourself up for success for tomorrow!
